Adoption Procedure
Fill out our adoption survey so we can get to know a bit about you. Be sure to answer all questions. If you have problems filling out the form, email AndreaOTAT@gmail.com.
Be as honest as possible when filling out the survey. This will help us match you up with the best dog for you!
An Adoption Counselor will call or email you to ask a few brief questions and answer any questions you may have.
Once your survey is screened and approved, a time will be set for you and every member of your household, including any other dogs already in your home, to meet the dog you are interested in adopting. As we do not currently have a shelter space, meetings are coordinated with the dog’s foster home or boarding facility.
An Adoption Counselor will conduct a home visit to ensure your home is safe for the potential new pet.
If approved for adoption, the adoption contract will be signed and the $200 adoption fee will be paid (we accept cash or check). An Adoption Counselor will also provide you with valuable information and resources for your new family member!
Friendly follow-up with an Adoption Counselor and all the support you and your dog may need!
*Please note: In an effort to ensure that each dog goes to the home that best suits their needs and personality, if we receive multiple surveys for the same dog, we will compare and decide which individual/family may be the best fit. We will only contact the applicant that we feel may provide the best home for the dog.
