Become a Foster Home
Fostering is free and saves lives. Without caring, open-minded, and patient homes to help transition One Tail dogs into a home setting, our rescue could not carry out our mission or accomplish our goals. As a foster parent, you are giving a dog a new lease on life! By providing a temporary home for one of our dogs, you are agreeing to care for that animal for 7 days or longer.
We provide everything you’ll need. All we ask of our foster homes is to give love, patience, and understanding to their foster dog.
Just like our adoptive homes, we always try to the best of our ability to match the foster animal to the foster home. We will always take into consideration you, your lifestyle, and other members of your household, before asking you to foster a pet.
Who can foster?
Anyone! Whether you live in a condo, small apartment or a house, have children, cats, dogs, or other pets, we can find a temporary match for you. Fostering is perfect for animal lovers who already have pets of their own, people who have worked with rescues in the past (although this is not necessary), or just anyone who absolutely loves animals but is not ready or able to make the commitment for the life of an animal.
Similar to our adoption procedure, a separate Foster Home application and screening process is required. Please download and fill out the above application, then send it off to AnnaOTAT@gmail.com. One of our Foster Coordinators will be in contact with you soon!
