The One Tail at a Time staff shared some of their favorite rescue moments of the year!Our amazing Adoption Center Manager Alli shared the story of sweet and gorgeous, heartworm positive Lady.

“Lady came into our care in June from a rural Illinois shelter partner. She was a heartworm positive senior dog who was lovely with all people but a bit selective with her dog pals. Her foster was incredible and gave her a comfortable spot for months! She provided lots of great pictures and videos we used to look for the perfect home for Lady.

After months of waiting, Lady met a special family in October. They had two young kids and she was so gentle and amazing with them. The family instantly fell in love with her and adopted her! We’ve received updates since (like this super sweet letter!) and Lady has been doing great with them. She sticks out as a special gal that took some time to find her perfect fit – but, boy, was it worth it!”
