Be part of our 5th annual Sit in for Shelter Dogs!
One Tail at a Time’s annual Sit in for Shelter Dogs raises awareness and collects donations for the hundreds of thousands of dogs in shelters needing rescue each year.
On June 14th at 10am, we will sit together quietly and this year, remotely. Fundraisers are invited to complete their “sit” with us virtually or on their own schedule if another date works best. Make your own fundraising page today to get started!
New this year…team fundraising! Friends, family members, and peers are invited to collect donations together to save lives as a group. Check out our FAQ’s for for more info on fundraising as a team.
A note from our Executive Director, Heather Owen:
We are grateful to the civil rights movement heroes for bringing Sit-ins into social justice movements. We acknowledge our privilege in the animal rescue community and hope that our nod to the Sit In movements can help bring the joy of rescued animals to all communities. To ensure we continue our anti-racist work, we will be making a donation to CARE, a black led organization aimed at inclusion trainings and changing the narrative within our the animal welfare field to include BIPOC, on behalf of all our sit-in participants.
