Board Recruitment

Join One Tail at a Time in 2021 in saving lives and making Chicago a better place for pets and their people by serving on one of our three volunteer Boards. Please express interest by February 1, 2021. Applications for boards are accepted annually in the first month of the year.

Governing Board:

One Tail at a Time’s governing board works with the Executive Director to ensure that our mission is being fulfilled. The Board is responsible for creating and maintaining the organization budget as well as planning committees to execute daily functions of the organization. Board Members volunteer their skill set and time to help One Tail achieve its annual goals. Board Member duties and descriptions can be found HERE.

Associate Board:

One Tail at a Time’s volunteer fundraising board is full of excited and driven individuals who understand the importance of raising funds to fulfill our mission. Associate Board members work together, or solo, to raise crucial funds throughout the year. The Associate Board is perfect for anyone who enjoys networking, events, fundraising, and working to build a strong sense of community. You can see the Associate Board requirements HERE.

Diversity Equity & Inclusion Board:

The brand new DEI Board will develop and promote strategies and best practices within the realms of racial, social, sexual, and gender diversity. The DEI Board will meet quarterly and will work on special projects to help OTAT progress. We are looking for driven individuals with experience in DEI  or community engagement work to help this brand new board succeed in 2021.
