Job Title: Marketing Assistant
Reports to: Marketing Manager
Salary: $50,000 annually, plus benefits
Work Week: Tuesday-Saturday, requiring some flexibility for evenings, Sundays, and travel days.

Requirements: Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to transport themselves around Chicagoland seamlessly. Must be able to lift 30lbs.

Overview: The Marketing Assistant is a full-time position that is dedicated to assisting in day-to-day marketing, merchandise management, and content creation around One Tail at a Time’s mission. This role requires a vast knowledge of current internet trends, a sense of humor, a creative eye, attention to detail, and a passion for animals. The position requires travel between all One Tail at Time facilities through the Chicagoland area. It is primarily onsite but will also require remote work. A valid driver’s license is required and being able to lift 30lbs. Having reliable transportation is preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Marketing Manager in developing content, including short-form videos
  • Propose, develop, and execute new video concepts for TikTok
  • Develop creative marketing ideas to increase adoptions
  • Be on-site to photograph and video record important events
  • Assist Marketing Manager in upholding One Tail at a Time’s voice and brand standards
  • Assist other departments with day-to-day marketing opportunities
  • Oversee online merchandise order fulfillment
  • Oversee merch stock and inventory
  • Help manage social media platforms

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years working professionally with social media
  • Working knowledge and ability to tape and edit short-form videos
  • Minimum of 2 years experience using Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Youtube
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Upbeat attitude
  • Impeccable sense of humor
  • Keen eye for design
  • Knowledge of current and upcoming social media trends
  • Tech-savvy and able to stay up to date on video, photography, and social media technology
  • Elements of design understanding
  • Experience using design programs such as Adobe Suite and Canva
