Bassoon & Cymbal came to OTAT after being rescued from Chicago Animal Care and Control. They were among 16 rabbits who had been set loose in a park, and they’ve come a long way from their uncertain beginnings.

Bassoon is the bold explorer of the pair. She’s energetic, sweet, and craves your attention—especially if food is involved. Her love language is snack time, and she’ll come hopping over the moment she hears the rustle of a treat bag. She’s a big fan of pushing around her kibble ball and will keep you on your toes with her impressive hops, so a tall X-pen is a must for this little athlete.

Cymbal is her perfect complement: a mellow, shy guy who takes a little time to warm up—but once he does, he’ll follow you around like a quiet shadow (especially if there’s apple involved). He’s a gentle giant who enjoys lounging and sharing snacks with Bassoon, letting her take the spotlight while he enjoys the calm of the background.
