Our Everyday Adoption Center is open! Thanks to PetSmart Chairities, we have a second adoption location inside PetSmart at 1101 S Canal St. Chicago, IL 60607 (Inside the PetSmart located below Whole Foods). We have adoptable dogs and cats on site everyday! Everyone is free to stop by the Everyday Adoption Center, appointments are not neccessary.

Yep! To view which pets are on site, visit the Adoptable Pets page and click “everyday adoption center” under the attributes tab and the available pets will filter.
Nope! We accept walk-ins anytime during open hours. To adopt, you do need to have an application on file, but you can fill that out on your smartphone while you are on-site if you like.
Nope! Our staff can help to make suggestions for you based on what you are looking for.
Yes, you’re welcome to walk through the space and meet dogs and cats through their kennels. Please be mindful of proper safety and refrain from sticking your fingers into the kennel. We also have meeting rooms for both dogs and cats so that you may interact with the pet outside of their kennel.
Dogs: Puppies are $350, adult dogs are $300, and seniors are $150. Senior people adopting senior pets get a special reduced price of $100. Dogs will be adopted out with a martingale collar and leash.
Cats: Kittens are $150 ($250 for a bonded pair). Adult cats are $100. Cats will be adopted out with a cardboard carrier.
Critters: Rabbits are $50. Guinea pigs are $25. Critters will be adopted out with a cardboard carrier.
We also have many adoption events with half-off fees. Additionally, many pets have sponsored fees (just look for the blue heart on their profile photo!) Turn into the parking garage entrance located near Roosevelt Rd and Canal St. When you enter the garage you will make a sharp right and drive down to the lower level, below Whole Foods. The parking garage is free.
Enter into the parking garage on the left hand side (there is a sidewalk). Right by the Whole Foods steps there are metal stairs, go down! Petsmart is located below Whole Foods. The Everyday Adoption Center is in the back right corner of the store.
