Rye is a shy little loaf with a big personality once you earn his trust. Rye is a handsome brown-and-white guinea pig who believes the best meals are private dining experiences. You’ll catch him sneakily pulling his veggies into his hidey house to nibble in peace—because sharing is not caring when you’re a breadwinner like him. He’s not a fan of being scooped up (he’ll be sure to let you know, vocally), but once he’s settled in your lap, he’s all about those gentle chin scratches.

Dog sociability: Scared of barking but would otherwise do well with proper introduction to calm, critter-friendly dog!

Cat sociability: Possibly with proper slow introduction to critter-friendly cat!

Kid sociability: A little skittish, may do best with older kids who can go slow with them!

Litter box habits: Mostly litter box trained! Sometimes will go outside of the box.

Likes: Loves cucumbers, carrots, and green peppers! He likes the shelter of a good hiding spot, including being able to drag his food into them to munch his food discreetly. When he's ready to snuggle, he loves a good scratchy.

Dislikes: He's a shy boy - he doesn't like being spot out in the open and will quickly hide when spotted, he isn't a fan of being picked up and will let you know by running away quickly and being loud until held tightly.
